Yarn and hook
I crocheted Bufo the Toad in schachenmayr catania cotton with a 2.0 mm hook, which gives the 2 in tall, 4.5 in wide toad in the photos. Any yarn weight works here: the pattern is the same, and a heavier yarn with a bigger hook simply gives you a bigger toad. Match the hook to whatever you already have in the cupboard.
